Nike Is Giving Its Futuristic Foamposite Sneaker a Carbon Fiber Upgrade in All-Black

After releasing the Air Flightposite in a stealthy “Triple Black” style on Friday, Nike Sportswear will reportedly dip back into its Foamposite archive for a similar — yet upgraded — look on an upcoming sneaker. According to @zsneakerheadz and Sneaker Files, the Nike Air Foamposite One will soon receive an all-black “Carbon Fiber” makeover. Coming in a “Black/Black/Dark Smoke Gray” colorway, early speculative mock-ups show a nearly blacked-out upper with a translucent rubber outsole. The Foamposite shell upper of the shoe is expected to feature a carbon fiber-inspired finish. It’s worth noting that the image pictured here is a speculative mock-up of what the pair is expected to look like and not an actual image of the upcoming shoe. Most notably, in 2014, the Air Flightposite model received an all-black “Carbon Fiber” style which was a retro release of an original colorway from 1999.
