Tyla Stole the Show at the 2024 MTV EMAs in Aaliyah-Inspired Look and Strappy Sandal Shoes

2024 has become Tyla‘s breakout year in so many ways. This hasn’t only been in terms of music but in terms of style as well. This weekend at the MTV Europe Music Awards, the star took home awards for Best African Act, Best Afrobeats and Best R&B. But before she even made it to the stage to accept any awards or give a performance, she was already going viral for her look. Tyla attends the MTV EMAs 2024 held at Co-op Live on November 10, 2024 in Manchester, England. On the red carpet, Tyla channeled Aaliyah, who she has often said has been a large influence on her work. She wore a Roberto Cavalli fall 2000 striped gown. The dress was a blue version of a famous yellow Cavalli gown that Aaliyah wore to the MTV VMA awards in 2000. Eve wore the exact blue version that year.
