In addition to a yet-to-be-announced New Balance 993 collaboration, Montreal moodboard/creative agency JJJJound is reconnecting with Adidas on one of the sportswear brand’s most timeless sneakers. Although not officially previewed by the Justin Saunders-led brand as of yet, a previously unseen JJJJound x Adidas Superstar surfaced Tuesday in women’s sizing via e-commerce platform Ssense. It’s likely the retailer released the sneaker collaboration prematurely, although Ssense doesn’t appear to be particularly hurried to rectify it; nearly 24 hours after appearing on the site, almost every size has already sold out. The JJJJound x Adidas Superstar comes in an “Off-White/Core Black” style and follows the color story established on the duo’s March collaboration on the Samba silhouette. Like that pair, the Superstar is manufactured in Adidas’ home country, Germany, and features a white-and-black color palette with a contrasting tan liner. The Samba sneaker was also offered in a black-based colorway, but it’s not yet confirmed if another Superstar will be released alongside this pair. JJJJound x Adidas Superstar 82 (lateral).
