Devin Booker’s Nike Book 1 Is Getting Its First Holiday Treatment for Halloween

Devin Booker’s first signature sneaker will soon get its first holiday-themed colorway for Halloween. The Nike Book 1 “Halloween” will release at the end of October with a number of design flourishes fit for spooky season. Suede and cracked leather, both in black, form the shoe’s upper and sit above what appears to be a glow-in-the-dark sole unit. The Swoosh comes with exaggerated stitching in white that almost look like bones, while orange is applied sparingly on the eyelets and tongue branding, which adds adds an additional stitching embellishment that looks like a zipper and features a torn bottom. A Halloween font is used for the heel pull’s “96” and “Chapter One” marks, and the shoe is finished with a split midsole that’s black on the medial side. Nike leans into Halloween hard each year, and its plans for 2024 have begun to surface through leaks. Following his Nike Ja 1 “Zombie” from 2023, Ja Morant’s yet-to-be-launched Ja 2 will take on a “Nightmare” theme that includes claw marks, zombie hands and piercing eye embroidery in a black, red and yellow colorway. The Air Jordan 1 Low will invoke Michael Jordan’s “Black Cat” nickname with a shaggy look and glow-in-the-dark eyes.
