Dr. Martens has “gone soft.” The British-based footwear brand has unveiled its latest Ambassador Leather collection, reinterpreting a myriad of classic silhouettes with premium tumbled leather, including the brand’s popular 1460 Boot and 2976 Chelsea Boot. The shoes are available in both black and cashew colorways. “Ambassador leather is supple with a pebbled texture and a rich oiled finish — and it feels soft and well worn from day one,” reads Dr. Martens’ official release. The description continues, “Committed to innovation that maintains the brand’s classic DNA, this launch was inspired with consumer and heritage in mind. Made for longevity and designed with timeless taste, these styles are made to be brought home ready for miles of comfortable experiences ahead!” Both shoes feature the brand’s signature details, including a grooved sole, black and yellow heel loops and iconic yellow stitching. Dr. Martens 1460 boot The 1460 shoe, dating back to 1960, is a lace-up ankle-length boot featuring an 8-eye design and Goodyear-welted sole. The shoe is available for $170 in both colorways.
