C.P. Company and Asics’ Debut Sneaker Collaboration Is All-Gold Everything

Following a resurgent 2023 with all-time high sales and firmer grasp of the zeitgeist through shrewd collaborations, Asics is beginning 2024 by announcing C.P. Company as a new collaborator. The partnership is kicking off at Paris Fashion Week, where a gilded Gel-Quantum 360 VIII will release at the pop-up from the innovative Italian sportswear brand. A tonal gold look for the sneaker deviates only with a silver outsole and matching branding on the tongue. Such a loud look is fitting for the collaboration, which is not only a debut for the two partners but also for the eighth iteration of the Gel-Quantum 360. C.P. Company also hasn’t had a major presence in the footwear scene. A three-way collaboration with Palace and Diemme on boots in December 2022 was its last shoe release, and the label’s relationship with Adidas hasn’t bore fruit in two years now. The Gel-Quantum 360 makes its signature technology visible through its midsole, which features both Gel and Trusstic technology. Comfort and shock absorption are supplied by the former, while the stability is the function of the latter.
