The Air Jordan 1 ‘Royal Reimagined’ Is Slated for a November Release

One of the original Air Jordan 1 High colorways is set to return in November, albeit with a slight twist. As part of the nascent “Reimagined” series, the AJ1’s OG “Royal” variant is getting a reissue with a new suede construction. Official images have now surfaced for the Air Jordan 1 “Royal Reimagined,” which is one of the most anticipated sneaker releases for the remainder of the year. The arrangement of blue and black remains the same as it has since 1985, only with suede now taking over the entirety of the upper instead of smooth leather. Although the “Reimagined” series began in earnest in late-2022, there’s a longer history of reissuing beloved colorways with new materials. The Air Jordan 1 “Bred” has been released in patent leather and satin versions, the latter of which was limited to just 501 pairs in 2016 and is now returning this month in women’s and kids’ sizing only — although, for some reason, the newest version isn’t joining the “Reimagined” series.
