If you’re someone who’s always looking for a good excuse to go shoe shopping, look no further than the QVC Presents FFANY Shoes on Sale event happening right now. Not only does the event feature huge mark downs on hundreds of name brand styles for women and men, but 70% of the proceeds from each purchase go toward the Fashion Footwear Charitable Foundation of New York (FFCF). The footwear industry has been uniting to support this charity for the past 28 years, and QVC has been a long-running partner. They have raised $59.5 million that has gone toward funding breast cancer research and education. QVC will air coverage of the sale on Oct. 12 at 5 p.m. ET, with additional activations featured on social media channels. While the sale usually brings with it a star-studded black tie gala hosted in New York City, it was canceled in 2020 during the COVID-19 pandemic. That said, this cancellation allowed the organization to donate a full 95% of its raised funds directly to its beneficiaries, which include the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, the Penn Medicine Abramson Cancer Center, Cedars Sinai, the Siteman Cancer Center and more.
