Earnings: Pre-tax profit for the first half of the year was £364.6 million, or $505.88 million, compared with £41.5m,or about $57 million from the same time a year ago. Sales: Revenues grew 52% to £3.89 billion, or $5.4 billion. Diluted earnings per share were $1.99, marking a decline from $2.25 per share due to an increase in shares and higher federal income tax.
