Vans Heads Back Outdoors With the All-Weather Sk8-Hi MTE-2 Collection in New Creative Colorways

Vans has made a name for itself with lifestyle shoes that blend perfectly into a city setting. But they’ve also made a reputation for utilitarian footwear like surf shoes and skiing boots. The lifestyle brand’s MTE range blends those two sides to create stylish footwear that works in a variety of weather conditions. With the launch of its upcoming Sk8-Hi MTE-2 collection on Sept. 1, Vans is taking another step in that direction by adding a series of colorways to the lineup. Each MTE shoe features an All-Trac outsole, which is an exclusive all-weather rubber compound that creates greatly improved traction. Other features include a HydroGuard 360-degree water-resistant membrane to keep you dry, PrimaLoft zonal insulation that thermoregulates cold weather to keep you warm, and a single-density molded sockliner for extra comfort. On top of all of that, the water-resistant leather uppers and graphics are all done in the classic Vans aesthetic. Among the colorways, the MTE-2 range includes a shoe designed with khaki-colored uppers and color blocking on the quarter and tongue, and the iconic Vans Sidestripe in marshmallow.
