While it's true that the fashion industry has made significant progress towards size inclusivity in recent years, it's still nowhere near perfect. As the editor of a shopping-focused magazine, I do a lot of online window shopping in search of the best things to add to cart and while I've definitely noticed how the number of options offered in plus sizes has grown exponentially, there's still a noticable gap between what's available in straight sizes versus plus sizes—despite the fact that studies show the average dress size in the U.S. is between 16 and 18 (and not a size 2 as the fashion industry would have us believe).
