6 Bridal Trends We're Betting We'll See Once Weddings Are a Thing Again

It feels odd to write about weddings as if they haven't been drastically affected by the current state of the world. While yes, there are more important things to occupy our minds with than the postponed date of a giant party, try telling that to the brides who have had to put one of their biggest lifelong dreams on hold for the unseeable future. As someone who personally has a handful of friends who have had to adjust almost every aspect of their pending weddings due to COVID-19, I can assure you that this weighs heavy on those couples who are in the thick of it, so in the meantime, let's break up the gloom and doom with a little trend talk

Once weddings are a thing again, brides will have their fair share of new styles to choose from thanks to the latest bridal collections. Ahead, you'll get to see the 6 spring 2021 bridal trends that would be everywhere this year if all was well, and if things turn around, brides will be flaunting the new trends ahead. For some added fashion-girl flavor, I slipped in a few looks from some of the ready-to-wear and couture shows as well, so get ready for a bridal roundup that will have you smiling ear to ear and taking notes for what's hopefully to come.

This simplistic '90s silhouette has yet to tire, and now, we're seeing it glow up in the bridal world as well. Including slinky spaghetti-strap dresses to barely there minis, if you're a lover of this decade, then this just might be the bridal trend for you.

If you are one of the many brides who ended up having to push their wedding due to COVID-19, then heading to the courthouse to seal the deal has definitely crossed your mind. If that's the route you choose to take, then why not make the most of it with a bridal-inspired pantsuit or tailored lace midi dress?

When it comes to volume in relation to a wedding dress, a princess ball gown is no longer the only option. Designers have proven that voluminous wedding attire is anything but too frilly these days, but if a cupcake-esque silhouette is what you want, we've got that for you as well.

Bows might feel a tad expected, if you will, in terms of bridal attire, but this season, they are being sent to the backside of wedding gowns and once you see the pictures below, you'll see why we are thrilled with the slight relocation.
